And we are hoping to drive them via a Black Magic HDMI or HD-SDI Card.
Do you support HD resolutions and Aspect Ratio? And BM Graphics Cards?
We are even considering using the Mac DeskTop with multiple app windows as the playback display. We would want to overlay an alpha channel (or key) in the GPU before sending out to the projectors, but this would be pretty flexible with fewer control interfaces and no slide preview.
Any input, ideas, or recommendations are welcome,

Rosco,
LiveWorship will support custom resolutions. This will help you with the HD resolutions(ie 1280x720). If you are using HD images in LiveWorship and are connected via DVI, HDMI to the projector, then yes, LiveWorship will support HD. We have not tested a Black Magic HDMI Card at this time. As long as the Black Magic Card supports extended desktop you should be fine.
LiveWorship does not support keying over iimages within LiveWorship itself.
I hope that helps answer your questions. If you need anymore information, please let us know.

Thanks Marty for the reply on the HD resolutions,
Is there a prefererred LiveWorship "Control" Screen resolution for the desktop when working at 720p? (or for 1080i?) or is it whatever the Mac can support that shows all the preview info?
Also can LiveWorship work in a window mode where other apps are controlling other parts of the screen? (much like how a Mac Desktop currently works) We are considering using the extended desktop (or the Mac desktop iteself) running out HDMI with a graphic matte keyed over the top by the Intensity On-Air System to hide any ugliness...
Thanks again for any info or ideas,

If I understand you correctly, you are attempting to use BlackMagic's On-Air software to mix multiple camera views and then have LiveWorship overlay the text during the output using a keying effect.
After talking with Blackmagic Design, unless you are using two computers (one with LiveWorship, the other with On-Air) and an external hardware video mixer...you are not likely to be able to mix the outputs from each software using only one machine.
Is that an accurate description of what you are thinking of doing? Essentially, LiveWorship will take an external video feed and use that as a background image...but we do not believe that it's capable of intercepting the output from the On-Air software for that purpose. More likely, LW is going to try and grab one of the HDMI inputs that On-Air is also trying to use. |

No that is not the signal flow. We have a separate dedicated system for recording services and all I would need is a scan converter to offer them a LiveWorship/On-Air feed if they want one. We are not normally recording the service via HDMI but we may want to add just one HDMI camera to feed the On-Air system to project baptisms (and also to record them in HD to the On-Air internal drive.) I see no reason to record the LiveWorship output to the Projectors unless some video post production work was planned.
We are looking to use one or two LiveWorship computers with HDMI outputs to feed the BMD Intensity On-Air SEG. LiveWorship will be on dedicated Laptops - either Mac or PC. LiveWorship would reside on the On-Air computer only as an emergency back-up should both of the other computer's HDMI outputs fail.
Or we may want to use the On-Air to overlay a graphic (with alpha channel) and run LiveWorship in a window with two small videos running in other windows nearby - on the same screen - just like you can other apps on a Mac desktop. The On-Air is only adding a graphic matte to the LiveWorship-in-a-window output to cover the "ugly" Quicktime buttons/controls in this last scenario. They also are considering other tricks (like animated clocks and widgets) that can run on the Mac desktop.
We will also have a signal path to bypass the On-Air SEG (passive switches or patchbay) and send the HDMI signal from the LiveWorship computer/s directly to the projectors. The On-Air will be monitored and controlled remotely from within the auditorium, but the On-Air Mac itself will be closer to the projectors.
Bottom Line is (1) making sure I can use LiveWorship with a HDMI output solution and then (2) seeing if I can use Apple's extended desktop to drive the HDMI output while running LiveWorship in a window on the HDMI projection. I'll make the window look pretty by using the On-Air graphic overlay downstream. Am I on the bleeding edge or can anyone shed some light on the bottom line issues?
Hopefully this makes sense and thank you for you help and considerations,
Rosco
