I am running a demo version of LW, v1.3.65 for Windows. All the transitions work like gold, except whenever I "bail to" any of the icons in that menu. It's a sharp, harsh cut, not a smooth transition like on my mac version. Is there a setting I am missing?
Also, you cannot import files from older versions of LW? Bummer...is that the case?

Before versions 1.3.26, both the Mac and Windows versions had the same type of transitions (but no video to video crossfade). We found it possible to include a video to video crossfade on the Mac version but the sacrifice was to change to a cut only on the Window's version.
A registered copy of LiveWorship will be able to import files from older copies of LiveWorship. I just did a test export of a presentation from LiveWorship 1.1 (released in September 2005) and successfully imported this file into LiveWorship 1.3.65 (released today). The demo (30 day trial) is not limited in functionality, but there are some security features that prevent abuse of the 30 day limitation.
