I'm trying to import a PP presentation, which I have done before with no problem, but this time it is not working. I'm using the PP Import tool downloaded from the website.
The error says
"Powerpoint Child Parser"
"Failed on Textrange"
I'm using powerpoint 2004:mac. LW 1.3.65, PP Importer1.0.0, and OSx 10.5.2 (just updated today, maybe that's the problem).
Can anyone help me? Thanks! |

Does this happen even with a simple powerpoint (like one slide with one word on the slide?)? If there are multiple text fields on a slide, I could see it having trouble importing.
Did you try these suggestions?

Is the importer application inside the LiveWorship folder? The permissions could have altered when you updated the OS. Would be worth making sure they are adjusted again in case the OS update modified them. Make sure when you adjust the permissions you also do the "apply to enclosed items" so that it affects all the enclosed items. |

Thanks for your response!
I checked the permissions and you were right, when I did the 10.5.2 update it did reset them, BUT I'm still having a problem now that I fixed them.
I did some testing, and I couldn't recreate the problem. It seems to be with this one presentation. The presentation only contains text and backgrounds. No videos, flash or anything else.
In my testing I tried creating a single slide with one text field, then I tried multiple text fields, then I added backgrounds, and then I added multiple slides. All of those tests imported properly.
I still haven't figured out what's wrong.
If you're willing to take a look at the powerpoint, I've posted it to our file server. http://64.147.7.170/Youth click on service slides.ppt .
I appreciate the assistance. |

I figured it out!
I found some pictures that were imported as PNG's into Powerpoint. I converted them to JPG, and then it imported into LiveWorship no problem.
Thanks for the help! |
