It would be nice to be able to use videos as a background. This is a big oversight
Thanks for a great program! Im still evaluating and we are seriously thinking about purchasing it. Thanks again! |

This is not an oversight. But no offense taken In version 1.1, LiveWorship does not do text over video. There are many reasons why we do not do text over video within our program at this time. We feel that doing text over video within a software program is a little unstable and does not allow for the freedom needed for worship. We do however recommend using video from another source and a video mixer to key graphics and text. I would recommend the Edirol Video Mixer line (LVS-400, V-4, V-1) and the Edirol PR-80, PR-50, or the DV7PR Video presenter for video playback. You can check out the system at http://edirol.com/worship/ . There are sample videos of worship with the Edirol systems. We are a reseller for Edirol.
We are dilegently working on this feature and check back for updates in the near future. |

Ok excellent to hear about the possibility of having it in the future. We already use MediaShout, but we would like to use a cross platform application so that our media team can use their own laptops etc when they are the one preparing the media for Sabbath. Video's that have a black area on one side and a margin with video on the side.. we actually feel it really adds to the worship music, not detracts, but I guess that a difference of opinion from what you said in your post
Great to hear that you'll be implementing it in the future! And anything I say.. I mean no offense at all, so thank you for not taking offense! I just work with a lot of programmers and have lots of feedback to help them along.. and sometimes I miss all cordiality and just get on with the business at hand
God bless! |

No worries.....love the feedback! So you are putting the lyrics in a black margin on the side of the video? Just want to make sure i understand what your needs are for text over video.

| Yeah we have some videos that basically have a thin strip of animated, blowing of a flag, leaves, water streaming down a bed of rocks, rain, I can't remember them all, but about a quarter of the window is video and then rest is black or white or whatever color to put your song lyrics on. |

no, but that would be pretty smooth also
Yeah it's part of the video.. I just had another thought.. it would be very very cool, if you could possibly have three layers..
1. background image, video whatever
2. a different level transparent black/white/colored box that I can put over the background
3. text
So that you could actually have a video that the full things is animated, or an image and then put a dark 75% transparent black box to put the text on, so that you can read the text very well, yet still see the image / video behind it.. oh oh nice!
Ok maybe for version 2, just some thoughts |

| It seems like the potential for as many layers as you need is there.. just have a dropdown menu picking the layer that you want or have created.. but maybe that limits resources quite a bit... I know mediashout has problems at times with just two, which I do not see those same problems in live worship |

| We are already doing 3 layers....adding titles and alerts is the 3rd. Additional layers does add alot of work for the processor. We will play around with it and see what we might be able to come up with.... |
