Short Tutorials: Adding Backgrounds to a slide in a Presentation

Backgrounds are images (or in version 1.2+, backgrounds can be video; in version 1.3+, backgrounds can be DVD cues or a external video feed) that have been added to a slide.

Viewing Backgrounds Images in Media Library
In the lower left corner of the LiveWorship window, select the Backgrounds item in the Media Panel (overview of panel locations). Once you select Backgrounds, you will see images displayed in the Library Panel. If you do not see any images, your library thumbnail sizes may be too large to be displayed in the available area. Either make the thumbnail images smaller in the size preferences or expand the window or move the panel dividers to show a larger area in the media library.

Creating a New Slide with a Background Image
Choose a background by positioning the cursor over the image, hold down your mouse button and drag and drop the image into a blank area of the Presentation Panel. This will create a slide thumbnail in the Presentation Panel and a new group name will appear in the Slide Group Panel.

Changing the Background Image of a Slide
Choose a background by positioning the cursor over the image in the Library Panel, hold down your mouse button and drag and drop the image onto an existing slide in the Presentation Panel.

Changing the Background Image of an entire Group
Choose a background by positioning the cursor over the image in the Library Panel, hold down your mouse button and drag and drop the image onto the name of the group in the Slide Group Panel.

NOTE that the group name does NOT HIGHLIGHT when you drag an image over the group names. The background image will drop where the tip of the arrow cursor is located when you let go of the mouse button. Watch the animation below to see this in action.
