Repositioning a graphic image for a new effect
Repositioning a graphic image for a new effect Here's a way to use background images in a different way. Instead of filling the entire screen, use the size and pan controls to place the image on the screen and use the background color to fill in to create a new look.
In the Edit Panel, change the drop down menu from "stretch" to "custom" and then resize the image and position in a corner of the slide.
Reposition a graphic when using a video mixer and LiveWorship for lower thirds Combined with a hardware video mixer, LiveWorship can be used to present lyrics over another video source. This is achieved using an effect built into the mixer called "keying", or removing one color (such as a black background), so that you can see the second video source behind the first source. This allows the text from LiveWorship to be displayed over another video source, such as a live camera feed or a video loop. This tip will enhance the look of your lyrics by using one of your background images as a "lower third" behind your lyrics while leaving black at the top for the keying effect.

Building announcement loops (or grouping slide text items) Announcement loops are common before and after a service. The "slide text" media library was created for individual slides of information (as opposed to "group text" which is a group of slides that are all saved under one item name...such as a scripture reference that extends over several slides or sermon notes that are all related). Adding "slide text" items to your presentation (dragging into a blank area of the Slide Group Panel or the Presentation Panel) will add these slides. After you add them into a Presentation, combine them into one group by dragging the individual slides in the Presentation Panel onto the name of a group in the Slide Group Panel. How to create a "slide text" item:

If you need to move multiple library items to another computer, you could export them one at a time. A shortcut would be to create a presentation with all the background images, songs and other media items and then save the presentation. Right-click (or with single button Macintosh mice, hold the control key while clicking with the mouse)on the presentation name in the media library and select "export". This will package all of your media items into one file. On the other computer, either drag the file into the presentation panel or pull the File menu to Import and select Load Presentation or browse for the file. After you import, you may need to save the presentation before the items appear in the second computer's media library. PowerPoint creates nice "builds" with bulleted lists. To recreate this in LiveWorship, make a slide with all of your points:
Duplicate this slide for each item in your list:
Edit the first slide and remove all but the first item, edit the second slide and remove all but the first two items, etc:
Building an automated countdown Creating your own automated countdown is possible within LiveWorship using the automated delays. Drag your favorite background image or video into the presentation panel. Right-click on the slide and select "Editor Window". Enter in your countdown text (or look below for the text for a 5 minute countdown that can be copy and pasted):
Select "Group Text" so that all the slides will be saved in the same group. Edit one of the slides and enlarge the size of the text and set the slide delay to 1 second. Click on the "apply to group" button. You may need to right-click (or with single button Macintosh mice, hold the control key while clicking with the mouse) on the "apply to group" button to make sure "slide delays" and "font settings" attributes are selected. Play the group by right-clicking (or with single button Macintosh mice, hold the control key while clicking with the mouse) on the group name and selecting "Play Slide Group". If you have not set any delay times, you will be prompted to enter in the slide delay (enter in 1 second).
Congratulations! You have built your own custom countdown timer!
Five Minute Countdown Timer It was quick to create the list below by entering in a the starting sequence of times. Then highlight and grab the bottom right corner...pulling down to extend the pattern until you reach zero. Highlight this list and then paste into LiveWorship's Editor window. The blank cell will leave a blank line inbetween each number which will place each number on its own slide when you click "group text" in the Editor Window. This list of times was created by using MS Excel:
As described in the previous section, you could copy the text below and paste into your Editor Window for a 5:00 minute countdown:
